On July 17, 2025, a rockfall occurred in the area surrounding the Blue Cave in Otaru.
 
 

In response, Salt Valley will prioritize the safety of our customers and, for the time being, operate on a modified route that passes near the Blue Cave without entering it.

Although we are unable to enter the cave itself at this time, passengers can still enjoy the beautiful coastline, unique rock formations, and the crystal-clear blue waters that Otaru is known for.

For Customers with Existing Reservations

For customers who have already booked the “Otaru Blue Cave Adventure Cruise,” the following options are available:
 
・Cancellations and refunds are available upon request.
・Bookings remain valid for the alternative route outside the cave.
